Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using the Kohego platform. By creating an account or using any part of our service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

1. Описание сервиса

Kohego is an online marketplace operated by Opiesti OÜ, a company registered in Estonia, Tallinn. The platform connects individuals seeking household and personal services ("Clients") with independent service providers ("Providers") offering services such as cleaning, babysitting, pet sitting, handyman work, and tutoring.

Kohego does not directly provide any of the listed services. We act solely as a technology intermediary facilitating connections and secure payments between Clients and Providers. Providers are independent contractors, not employees of Opiesti OÜ.

To use Kohego, you must create an account. By doing so, you confirm that:

• You are at least 18 years of age.
• All information you provide — including your name, contact details, and payment information — is accurate, current, and complete.
• You will keep your account credentials confidential and not share them.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

You may register as a Client, a Provider, or both. Kohego reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law.

Provider Registration

Providers must complete identity verification via photo ID and selfie before their profile becomes publicly visible. Providers offering babysitting or childcare services are additionally required to submit a background check (criminal record extract). Verification badges indicate only that the relevant checks were completed and do not constitute a guarantee by Kohego regarding the quality or safety of services.

Providers agree to maintain accurate and honest service descriptions, including realistic descriptions of their skills, experience, and availability. Misleading descriptions may result in account suspension.

Both Clients and Providers agree to:

• Use the platform only for lawful purposes.
• Treat all other users with respect and professionalism.
• Not post false reviews or engage in rating manipulation.
• Not use the platform to distribute spam, malware, or unlawful content.
• Comply with all applicable Estonian and EU laws, including those governing employment, taxation, and data protection.

Providers are solely responsible for complying with their tax obligations. Kohego provides earnings summaries for informational purposes only and does not withhold taxes on behalf of Providers.

4. Требование использования платформы

Kohego's marketplace depends on transactions being conducted through the platform to ensure safety, payment protection, and dispute resolution for all users.

Any attempt to exchange contact information, arrange services, or conduct payments outside the Kohego platform for services initially found through the platform constitutes a violation of these Terms. Such violations may result in temporary or permanent account suspension.

This includes, but is not limited to: sharing phone numbers, email addresses, or social media handles in messages; suggesting payment via cash, bank transfer, or third-party apps (e.g. PayPal, Revolut) in lieu of Kohego's payment system; or any arrangement designed to circumvent platform fees.

All in-platform communication is subject to automated and manual review to detect and prevent bypass attempts, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

5. Платежи и комиссии

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. By making a booking, you authorise Kohego to collect the applicable fees on behalf of the Provider.

Fees

• Client Service Fee: 8% of the booking subtotal, charged to the Client at the time of booking.
• Provider Commission: 15% of the booking subtotal, deducted from the Provider's payout upon job completion.

Payment Flow

When a booking is confirmed, the Client's payment method is pre-authorised but not immediately charged. The full amount (subtotal + 8% service fee) is captured only when the Provider marks the job as complete. Provider payouts are processed via Stripe Connect and transferred to the Provider's bank account within 1–2 business days via SEPA bank transfer.

Kohego uses Stripe for payment processing. By using the payment features, you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service.

6. Политика отмены

The following cancellation policy applies to all bookings:

• More than 24 hours before scheduled start: Full refund (100%) of the booking amount, including service fee.
• Between 2 and 24 hours before scheduled start: 50% refund. The Provider receives 50% of their agreed fee as compensation.
• Less than 2 hours before scheduled start: No refund. The Provider receives their full fee as compensation for the reserved time.

Refunds, where applicable, are processed back to the original payment method within 5–10 business days, subject to your card issuer's processing times. In cases of Provider cancellation, Clients receive a full refund regardless of notice period.

7. Ответственность

Kohego is a technology platform and is not liable for:

• The quality, safety, or outcome of services provided by Providers.
• Any injury, loss, damage, or theft occurring during the provision of a service.
• Disputes between Clients and Providers.
• Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the platform.

Opiesti OÜ's total liability for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount paid by you through the platform in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Certain bookings may be covered by liability insurance arranged by Kohego. Where applicable, details of this coverage will be shown at the time of booking.

8. Разрешение споров

If a dispute arises between a Client and Provider, both parties are encouraged to resolve it directly through the platform's messaging system. If a resolution cannot be reached, either party may contact Kohego support at support@kohego.com. Kohego will review the dispute and, at its sole discretion, may intervene including by adjusting payments or suspending accounts.

Kohego's dispute resolution decisions are final with respect to platform actions (e.g. account status and payment adjustments) but do not prejudice your rights to seek legal remedies under applicable law.

9. Применимое право

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Estonia. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms that cannot be resolved through Kohego's dispute resolution process shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Tallinn, Estonia.

If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, you may also submit a complaint to the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform.

Kohego reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will notify registered users of material changes via email or in-app notification.
